Countdown . . . 5 days

The song is a bit cheesy--OK, really, really cheesy . . . but heck, isn't that what we're going for this week?

(Background on clip: Disabled son asks his father to do a marathon--that goes well, so they go on to enter the Hawaii Ironman--which is what the clip is about. The Ironman is the ultimate endurance event solo, but this Dad pushes and pulls his son through the entire thing. It took them more than 15 hours to complete the event (2.1 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run). Adds new meaning to the phrase, "Go, Dad, Go!")

The blog will return to reality post-Chicago. Until then we can't afford to be in a totally realistic frame of mind . . . let's revel in the fortitude of the human spirit until then.

Keep moving (or during a week like this--Keep trudging!)

Kate

Trust me K. Your woes--and any woes we share a la 2100 are definitely NOT frivolous. They could just be worse I suppose--right?
